Step by step: making list

To assemble back together I will use M3 x L20 mm bults and a 1 m by 15X2 mm aluminium strip. I will cut the aluminium strip into sections, bend and drill 3 mm holes where necessary. Drill 3 mm holes into the helmet aligned with the holes in the aluminium strip. Finely I shall counter sink the holes on the surface of the helmet to create a snug fit for the bults.

The same prosses will be used to attach the legs to the helmet.

For the main material of the legs I will use the plastic frame of an old 42 inch LG tv and the aluminium strips. There is a continues edge on the tv frame that I can use to make all 8 legs the same if I cut the edge length ways into 16 sections using my Dremel.

Each two sections will go together to form one leg. For each leg I will use two part epoxy to stick them together and milliput to fill the channel, and then sand down to make the surface smooth.

in total there are 14 areas where nuts and bolts will be used as the main fixing solution.

How much are these for two reasons, they added aesthetics of tactical hardware and they make for much more structurally sound model.
